Following the game, Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov sent a clear message while speaking to reporters.

"I'm not planning to miss the playoffs," Zadorov said. "I'm here to play playoff hockey... I want to see Boston Garden buzzing in the playoffs. That's definitely extra motivation for us. You guys are doing a good job writing us off. That's extra motivation."

Clearly, Zadorov is very motivated to prove the Bruins' doubters wrong and get them into the playoffs.

At the time of this writing, the Bruins are currently third in the Atlantic Division standings with 56 points. However, they are far from being in a comfortable spot, as the Tampa Bay Lightning only trail them by one point. In addition, the Ottawa Senators are just two points behind, while the Montreal Canadiens only trail by three points.

Each of these teams has multiple games in hand on the Bruins, too, so Zadorov and the Original Six club will need to keep winning to help their playoff chances. Let's see if they can do just that from here.
