Lindholm, 30, has been out since suffering a lower-body injury from blocking a shot by St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk on Nov. 12. He has missed nine straight games, and we now have confirmation from Sacco that he is still not close to returning.

This is undoubtedly bad news for the Bruins, as they are trying to climb up in the standings, and Lindholm is one of their best defensemen.

Lindholm has appeared in 17 games this season with the Bruins, where he has three goals, seven points, and a minus-4 rating. In 180 games as a Bruin, Lindholm has 16 goals, 91 points, and a plus-73 rating.
