Bruins Coach Gets Real After Ugly Maple Leafs Loss
It was another rough night for the Boston Bruins. This time, they lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs by a 6-4 final score. Their losing streak has extended to three games, and they have a 20-17-4 record. In addition, they now trail the first-place Maple Leafs by eight points in the Atlantic Division standings.

Following the Bruins' latest underwhelming loss, interim head coach Joe Sacco was honest about what went wrong for the Original Six club against the Leafs.
"We didn't do a good enough job tonight," Sacco said. "We were not hard enough in certain areas of the game tonight. Give Toronto credit. They played hard, especially below the tops of the circles. We knew that going into the game that it was going to be like that, and we just have to be harder to play against down low.

Sacco also dove into the Bruins' sloppy defensive mistakes after they got back into the game.
"It's difficult in this league to play catch-up hockey, but it's 2-2 going into the third," Sacco said. "We have two mistakes that they capitalize on. One that we got beat and one we just lose our slot coverage."
The Bruins undoubtedly let this game slip away in the third period because of their sloppy defensive play. It will be interesting to see if Sacco can get the Bruins back on track tonight against the New York Islanders at TD Garden.
