Yahoo Sports Bruins Can Build Off Stellar Comeback Win
The Boston Bruins scored an impressive 3-2 win against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night (Nov. 12). In the third period, the Bruins scored three unanswered goals to complete the comeback and earn two much-needed points.
What makes this win so encouraging for the Bruins is their players in significant roles stepped up when they needed it most.
Morgan Geekie, who played on the first line, scored his first goal of the season to start the comeback. No. 1 defenseman Charlie McAvoy had a goal and an assist. Superstar winger David Pastrnak scored the game-winner and also added an assist. Top-six forwards Brad Marchand, Pavel Zacha, and Justin Brazeau each also had an assist.

This is precisely the kind of win that could spark the Bruins to get things back on track. Several of their most important players stepped up when they needed it most. Now, they will aim to maintain this play from here.
The Bruins have a tough matchup against the Dallas Stars on Thursday (Nov. 14), but their schedule lightens up a bit afterward. They play four teams who missed the playoffs last season: the Blues, Columbus Blue Jackets, Utah Hockey Club (formerly the Arizona Coyotes), and Detroit Red Wings.
Thus, the Bruins have a grand opportunity to get things back on track if they continue to play like how they did in the third against the Blues. It will be fascinating to see if they do just that from here.
