According to NHL Public Relations, this was Marchand's seventh career penalty-shot goal. With this, he has tied Pavel Bure for the most penalty-shot goals in NHL history. He also passed NHL legend Mario Lemieux on the list.
Marchand clearly knows how to score on the penalty shot and has tied a record because of it. He now has 12 goals and 23 points in 31 games this season.
