The Boston Bruins return to the ice tonight to face off against the Edmonton Oilers. The Original Six club will aim to bounce back after losing each of their last four games, including a 5-4 overtime loss to the New York Islanders in their last contest.

The Oilers will be no walk in the park for the Bruins, though. The reigning Western Conference champions are once again one of the NHL's top teams this season, as their 24-12-3 record shows. They also enter this contest red-hot, winning each of their last three games and seven out of their last 10.

While this will undoubtedly be a difficult matchup for the Bruins, they can make a big statement against the Oilers with a win. Securing two points against a legitimate contender like the Oilers could be exactly the spark the Bruins need to get their season back on track.

The Bruins are also playing the Oilers at TD Garden, so they will aim to take advantage of being on home ice and in front of their fans. It will be fascinating to see if they can break their losing streak against Edmonton from here. It would certainly be significant if they do, as they would create more distance in the Atlantic Division standings from the Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens, and Ottawa Senators.
