Bruins Provide Big Injury Update About Forward

The Boston Bruins returned to practice today, and forward Mark Kastelic was in a regular jersey for it. This is notable, as the 25-year-old forward has not played since getting injured during Jan. 9's contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

While speaking to reporters following practice, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco shared that Kastelic will play in the club's upcoming contest against the Ottawa Senators if he is cleared by the club's medical team.

Hearing that Kastelic could be back in the lineup against the Senators is significant news for the Bruins. The gritty forward is an important part of their bottom six, so getting him back in a crucial game against the Senators would be excellent.

At practice, Kastelic skated at right wing on the fourth line with Justin Brazeau and Johnny Beecher. If he is not given the green light to play, Oliver Wahlstrom would likely slot in.

Kastelic, 25, has appeared in 43 games this season with the Bruins, where he has four goals, 12 points, 81 penalty minutes, and 167 hits.
