Bruins announcer Jack Edwards loses his mind after refs blow down play

Love him or hate him, Jack Edwards has been the voice behind many entertaining calls in Bruins history.

During the third period of Game 3 between the Leafs and Bruins, Edwards added another classic to his sizzle reel when he went off on the refs for blowing down the play for an injured player while the Bruins were on the power play.

Vintage Jack Edwards.

Andreas Johnsson did not appear to meet any of the criteria Edwards deemed necessary to warrant a whistle. The Leafs rookie was not playing pee-wee hockey, did not have a bone sticking out of his leg, and was also very much conscious. Adam McQuaid also didn’t meet that criteria when the refs stopped play after he took a puck in the neck, but Edwards must have missed that one.

The Bruins announcer has never been one to shy away from sharing his unabashedly biased thoughts on Boston hockey, which is what makes him so beloved by Bruins fans and generally despised league wide.
