Yahoo Sports Bruins Need To Add Big Scorer Right Now
The Boston Bruins fell to the ice-cold New York Rangers by a 2-1 final score last night. Rangers goalie Jonathan Quick had an excellent night for the Blueshirts, saving 32 out of the Bruins' 33 shots.

However, this kind of loss once again shows that the Bruins need another impactful scorer. This is their second loss in a row where they had just one goal, and their minus-17 goal differential only further demonstrates that they need more offense.
The Bruins should work diligently to fix this issue. While they are currently in third place in the Atlantic Division, they are in real danger of dropping in the standings. The Tampa Bay Lightning trail them by only two points and have played five fewer games than them. After a tough start to the season, the surging Ottawa Senators trail Boston by only four points and have three games in hand.

Getting a scoring forward for their top six should be the Bruins' biggest priority before the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline passes. They have missed the offensive contributors of Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen this season, so adding an impactful winger would be big for the Bruins.
We will need to wait and see if the Bruins make a move soon, but they are undoubtedly due for one.
