Bruce Cassidy Reveals He Is Indeed A Swiftie!
LAS VEGAS -- Vegas Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy is a Swiftie!
Cassidy said the family has a dedicated playlist inspired by his daughter, Shannon, and the star of it is Taylor Swift.
Unfortunately for him, the Golden Knights' upcoming game in Toronto is on Wednesday, and they'll be gone before Swift plays Rogers Centre the next three days.
"Is she playing tomorrow night?" Cassidy asked Knights rinkside reporter Ashali Vise during Monday's press conference. "Weekends, right? My daughter just saw her in Miami. My daughter is a big fan, so anything my daughter likes, I like.
"And I think she is a very good entertainer, very great artist, writes her own songs. She's done a great job."
Cassidy said his favorite song of Swift's is the 2015 hit "Style" from her fifth studio album, "1989."
"It's on a playlist called 'Beach Playlist', which again, is a lot of Shannon's influence, so we play it around the pool. There'll be lots of Taylor Swift songs. That's the one I kind of like."
That said, Cassidy hasn't strayed from his childhood football team, the Dallas Cowboys, or the New England Patriots, who he became fond of while he was coaching in Boston.
"(Swift's boyfriend Travis) Kelce is a great tight end, they got a great team," Cassidy said. "But I'm not there yet."
