The NBA Playoffs are down to the conference finals in both conferences. It's down to the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics in the East and the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks in the West.

For the other 26 franchises and their respective fanbases, the focus now is on the off-season, including the 2024 NBA Draft. Unlike last year when Victor Wembanyama was a lock for the No. 1 overall pick, multiple prospects are jockeying for the top selection between now and the draft from June 26-27.

One of the more intriguing prospects this year is Bronny James. Son of NBA all-time leading scorer LeBron James, he spent his freshman season with the USC Trojans. James was hospitalized last summer after cardiac arrest during a workout and returned to the court five months later. He's since been medically cleared by the NBA's Fitness to Play panel and participated in the NBA draft combine.

There are only 58 total picks in the 2024 NBA Draft because the Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns forfeited one second-round selection each.

The consensus is the 6-foot-1 James will either go to the Lakers to join his father or go undrafted. If he is not selected in the draft, James said in an Instagram post he is maintaining his college eligibility and entering the transfer portal.
