Brock Faber Leaves Blues Game With Upper-Body Injury

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild have been nailed with injuries all year. Kirill Kaprizov has missed the last six games and Jared Spurgeon is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a lower-body injury.

They just welcomed defenseman Jake Middleton back into the lineup on Tuesday after he missed the last 11 games with an upper-body injury.

But the injuries just keep coming. Brock Faber played four minutes and 34 seconds in the first period against the St. Louis Blues and did not return.

Faber, 22, has played in every game this year for the Wild and played all 82 games last year even a few months with fractured ribs. He was brought to the hospital after a game this year after taking a puck to the neck but never missed a game.

There wasn't a noticeable injury to Faber during the Wild's game against the Blues but he did not return after just four minutes of play.

We will keep you updated if Faber returns or not.

Update: Wild announce Faber will not return with an upper-body injury.

Wild head coach John Hynes did not have an update on Faber's status after the game.
