Brock Faber Is Latest Wild Player To Get Injured

ST. PAUL - In the final minute of the Minnesota Wild's 6-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on home ice, Brock Faber took a puck up high and left quickly.

It was a very freak injury for Faber as he took a shot from Florida's Eetu Luostarinen in the neck area.

According to Michael Russo, Faber was brought to the hospital to get checked out.

“There’s always concern," Wild head coach John Hynes said on the injury. "Obviously, he got hit in the upper area. I don’t know exactly where it was, but for him to still be getting evaluated there’s obviously concern for him on that, make sure that first and foremost that he is ok because I don’t have that knowledge now. That’s the first thing and then we’ll see if he is ok that’s great. If he’s not ok then hopefully he feels better soon. But we’ll know more tomorrow.”

The Wild are already without Joel Eriksson Ek, Yakov Trenin, Jakub Lauko, Jake Middleton, and Filip Gustavsson due to injuries. Adding Faber to that list could spiral this team down hill.
