Bristol Rovers and Wrexham fined after melee
Bristol Rovers and Wrexham have both been fined for a post-match melee after their League One fixture on Saturday, 21 December.
A mass confrontation broke out after the full-time whistle in a game which saw Rovers score late on to claim a 1-1 draw.
Wrexham's James McClean and Steven Fletcher, as well as Rovers captain James Wilson, were shown yellow cards at the Memorial Stadium.
As a result, Rovers have been fined £3,500 and Wrexham £6,000.
A Football Association statement said: "Both clubs admitted that, following the conclusion of the match, they failed to ensure that their players did not behave in a way which is improper and provocative.
"The sanctions were subsequently imposed by an independent regulatory commission."
Wrexham are third in League One, while Rovers are one place above the relegation zone in 20th.
