Brighton & Hove Albion forward Dent signs first professional deal
Brighton & Hove Albion’s teenage forward Lily Dent has signed her first professional contract with the club.
The Seagulls announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 18-year-old joined the Brighton & Hove Albion Professional Game Academy League squad from Sutton United in 2023 and she broke into the first team last season. Dent made four appearances for The Seagulls in all competitions, all of which came from the bench.
Dent has impressed new Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić and she could again feature in the first team this season.
After agreeing professional terms with Dent, Brighton & Hove Albion’s women’s and girls’ academy manager, Perry Northeast said “We’re really pleased and excited to see Lily sign her first professional contract with the club.
“Lily’s an exciting young player who has demonstrated a drive to improve every day and has recently had invaluable experience training with our women’s first team, alongside making her debut against Chelsea last season in the WSL.
“We look forward to watching her continue to develop over the coming seasons.”
Brighton & Hove Albion kick-off the new Barclays Women’s Super League season with a fixture against Everton at Broadfield Stadium on Saturday 21 September 2024.
