Brighton & Hove Albion have appointed Dario Vidošić as their new head coach on a three-year deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this morning.

Vidošić joins Brighton & Hove Albion off the back of his first coaching job with Australian A-League club Melbourne City. He guided City to the A-League Premiership title.

The 37-year-old previously enjoyed a long playing career. Vidošić played his football in a number of countries including Australia, New Zealand, China and Germany. On the international stage, Vidošić was capped by Australia on 23 occasions.

After appointing Vidošić as Brighton & Hove Albion’s new head coach, Zoe Johnson, the club’s managing director of women’s and girls’ football said “From the start of the process to appoint our new head coach, Dario was someone who caught our eye as a young coach with a progressive outlook.

“He has a playing style and philosophy that aligns with how we want Brighton & Hove Albion teams to play. We are really excited to start working with Dario to prepare for the upcoming WSL season.”

Vidošić will be assisted in his new role by Chris Roberts. Brighton & Hove Albion’s interim boss Mikey Harris will return to his position within the men’s academy set-up.
