Instead, Cox has a pivotal role in 007: Road to a Million, an adventure game show in which nine pairs of people, per the series’ official logline, “are unleashed on an epic global adventure through a series of Bond-inspired challenges for a shot at each winning a life-changing £1,000,000 prize.” Cox serves as The Controller, aka the person who decides where the pairs go and what they do, then watches as they do or don’t achieve their goals.

“For years, I thought I’d love to be a James Bond villain,” Cox told Fallon. “It would be really interesting. I thought, ‘This is my moment!'” He laughed. “But it wasn’t.”

All eight episodes of 007: Road to a Million will begin streaming on Prime Video on Friday.
