Brest have reached an agreement to sign National 1 defender
Stade Brestois are adding some depth at left-back, a position that’s been plagued by injuries for them all season.
The club announced on Thursday that they’d agreed on a deal for Justin Bourgault (19), who has been featuring for US Concarneau in Championnat National, the third tier of French football.
He is scheduled to be at the Cité de Ponant on Friday to commit to a four-year contract with the side from Brittany.

Meanwhile, he will have to undergo a medical examination before officially putting pen to paper.
Éric Roy said on the RMC Mercato Show earlier this month that the club would be recruiting a defender during the winter transfer window.
The Brest manager has seen three left-backs go down with injuries this season, with Bradley Locko (22) suffering an ACL injury, Massadio Haïdara (32) suffering a muscle strain, and Jordan Amavi (30) having a sore thigh.
Bourgault started two Coupe de France contests with Concarneau this season, registering one assist. His soon-to-be new club, Brest, travel to Stade Océane on Sunday to face Le Havre, riding a two-match winning run in Ligue 1.
