Foot Mercato understands that Stade Brestois and Brighton and Hove Albion are nearing an agreement for the loan of Abdallah Sima (23).

Sima joined Brighton from Slavia Prague back in the summer of 2021, however, he has found gametime limited with the Premier League side. Subsequently, he has been loaned out to teams such as Stoke City, SCO Angers, with whom he made 34 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring five goals, and last season, Rangers.

He now looks set for another move away from Brighton and this time back to Ligue 1 with Brest. Les Ty-Zéfs, despite signing Ludovic Ajorque, are in the market for another striker, having lost Steve Mounié, and now seemingly Martín Satriano. The latter spent last season on loan at Brest from Inter Milan, and whilst the French club had looked to make the deal permanent, he now looks set to join RC Lens.

Within this context, a deal taking Sima to Brest is now close, as per Foot Mercato. It will be a loan deal, without an option to make the move permanent. The player has already agreed to the move and only the final details need to be arranged before Sima joins Les Pirates.
