Brentford Women cruised to a big win on Sunday afternoon, defeating Camden & Islington United 14-0.

Eight goals from Chloe Logie and one each for Freya Worsley, Kirsty Matthews, Maddie Phillips, Ellen Wardlaw, Regan Graver and Jodie Reid set up the dominant London South East Division One North win at Bedfont Sports Club.

Karleigh Osborne made three changes to the starting line-up following last weekend’s win, keeper Freya Walker returning having not played a first-team game since September 2023. Captain Mollie Holmes and Matthews also came in.

After an even 10 minutes to start the game, Brentford found the opening goal, Worsley intercepting a loose pass and scoring. Logie made it two less than a minute later as the Bees started to assert their dominance.

Logie made it a double and Brentford's third on 14 minutes, pouncing on a loose pass by the visitors and finding the bottom-right corner of the net.

Logie had her hat-trick five minutes later, Nikki Woods' cross from the left side finding the striker in the box who poked home from close range to make it 4-0.

Brentford's pressure on Camden's backline continued to cause issues, Matthews the next player to reap the benefits as she forced a turnover and scored to make it 5-0.

Despite being put under plenty of pressure during the first half, Camden keeper Sarah Sackett made a great save from a Logie penalty to prevent the striker scoring her fourth.

Logie didn't have to wait long for another chance, however, as she ran on to a Samantha Read long ball and beat multiple defenders to score and make it 6-0.

The Bees continued to press and were rewarded as the half-time whistle neared, Graver's shot hitting the woodwork before going in to make it 7-0 at the break.

Osborne's side didn't have to wait long to find an eighth goal as the second half got underway, Phillips' shot from the edge of the box finding the top-left corner.

Logie was back in the action as the hour mark approached, scoring two goals in quick succession to help the Bees to double figures and make it 10-0.

Substitutes Jodie Reid, Sophie Troth, Keira Ferns, Wardlaw and Lucy Bolitho were bought on just after the hour mark and wasted little time in having an impact. After Logie was taken down in the box and scored a penalty, Wardlaw made it 12-0 as her shot found the back of the net.

Reid got in on the act minutes later, Phillips' cross from the right side finding the midfielder who put the ball in the back of the net from close range to make it 13-0.

Logie continued to be a presence up front and was rewarded with an eighth goal inside the final 10 minutes, her initial shot rebounding off Sackett's gloves and back to her, and she found the back of the net from close range.

Osborne pleased with 90-minute performance

Brentford Women head coach Karleigh Osborne said he was pleased with his side's effort and intensity across the entire 90 minutes following Sunday's win.

Up 7-0 at half-time, the three points were secured, however Osborne said he wanted his side to play a full 90 minutes.

"It was obviously good from us, we were ruthless today and I'm over the moon with the result," he said.

"I was pleased with the last 15-20 minutes, because I said I wanted intensity from the girls - don't drop off because we're winning."

All five substitutes (Ellen Wardlaw, Jodie Reid, Sophie Troth, Lucy Bolitho and Keira Ferns) were used in the game and each had an immediate impact in the second half.

Wardlaw and Reid managed were on the scoreboard, something Osborne was pleased to see.

"The subs came on and they did brilliantly and impacted the game which is what's needed and what's wanted, so I'm over the moon with the whole performance," he said.
