Brentford win Gustavo Nunes transfer battle as Thomas Frank hails 'very exciting' signing
Brentford have announced the signing of Brazilian teenager Gustavo Nunes from Gremio for £10million.
The Bees have been working on the deal for a number of weeks and flew the 18-year-old to London last weekend, when he passed his medical.
The winger has signed a contract until 2030, and the club retain an option to extend it by two further years beyond that.
Nunes only made his senior debut for Gremio in February, but leaves the Brazilian side after making 20 top-flight appearances.

“I am very excited that we have managed to sign Gustavo”, Brentford manager Thomas Frank told the club’s official website. “It is another good signing; we have fought with other clubs.
“He is a winger who can go past players one-on-one. He is direct and he can create.
“Gustavo has a lot of potential and of course we need to maximise that in every aspect. He needs time to settle, but this is a very exciting signing.”
Nunes becomes the Bees’ fourth signing of the summer so far, after Liverpool duo Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg joined Club Brugge striker Igor Thiago - since sidelined following knee surgery - through the door at the Gtech Community Stadium.
