Earlier this week, EA Sports made a slight mistake and leaked their reveal trailer on their official YouTube channel.

Well, this morning at 11am EST, the reveal trailer was officially released to the public on their YouTube channel and we have confirmation that the Hughes brothers Jack, Quinn, and Luke will be on the cover of NHL 25.

NHL 24 introduced a complete revamp of the hitting mechanics in the game. Based on the trailer, this year it looks like the development team has turned its directions to improving the skating mechanics and allowing players to skate and maneuver like NHL players.

They are calling it "ICE-Q" and at first glance, the new skating looks like it can make handling the puck a lot more fun.

We will provide updates and deep dives into all the new features that will be added to NHL 25 once we receive them. But from what we can see from the reveal trailer, players will finally be able to mohawk with the puck, a skating skill we see the Hughes brothers do incredibly well.

The development team has created over 250 new animations to mimic how the pros skate, allowing players to open up to one-timers better, and make passes while your player is skating 10-2.

The official release date for NHL 25 is Oct. 4. Those who pre-order the deluxe edition will receive seven-day early access and can start playing on Sep. 27.

Pre-ordering the standard edition gets you 500 NHL points, a HUT NHL player pack, two World of Chel battle pass XP boosts, and a choice of a 99 overall card for NHL 24 of Jack, Quinn, or Luke Hughes.

The deluxe edition earns you that seven-day early access, 4,600 NHL points, World of Chel Season 1 premium battle pass plus the two boosts from the standard edition, the NHL 24 99 overall card reward (same as the standard edition), multiple HUT choice packs, and an exclusive World of Chel player set.

The Hughes HUT brothers choice pack is only available for those who pre-order NHL 25 before Sep. 13.
