Braga boss Carlos Carvalhal before Roma clash: “It’ll be tough, but we’re determined to win.”

Speaking prior to his side’s Europa League clash against Roma, Braga manager Carlos Carvalhal discussed his expectations for tonight’s fixture.

As both teams enter the fixture in a playoff spot, Carvalhal admitted the Giallorossi’s unfamiliar tactical approach poses a tough challenge for his team.

“Roma plays in a completely different way than we are used to, employing man-to-man marking across the entire pitch,” he told DAZN.

“The Giallorossi are a very strong team, the strongest I’ve faced since coming to Braga. They have 20 players who are called up to their national teams—an incredible level of talent.

Adding, “Plus, Ranieri is an extremely experienced coach. It will be a very difficult match, but we are determined to win.”
