BR-GAMES-AI-Voices

Voice actors in the video game industry are expressing concern about the growing use of artificial intelligence.

Elias Toufexis (too-FEX'-is), who has also appeared in live-action shows like "The Expanse" and "Star Trek: Discovery," says a person once modified a video game to turn the main character into someone he voiced from a different game.

He says he told the creator to take it down, because it was a whole voice performance that he didn't participate in or consent to.

Toufexis says that while A-I can be used to help art, it should not be used to create it.

Jennifer Hale, who's best known as Commander Shepard in the "Mass Effect" series, says she isn't against A-I but its misuse.

She says it comes down to having control over her voice, providing consent for her voice to be used, and getting properly compensated.
