According to several outlets, Bove was discharged from the Careggi hospital on Friday, where he has stayed for the almost two weeks since the incident occurred at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

He was rushed to the Careggi hospital immediately after he collapsed on the pitch in the 17th minute of the Serie A match against Inter. It reportedly took the ambulance around 10 minutes to get from the stadium to the medical facility.

The 22-year-old was admitted to intensive care, but was ‘awake’ and ‘alert’ the morning after he arrived at the hospital.

Since then, Bove has undergone an operation to have an removable internal defibrillator fitted, which was a necessary part of the protocol that led to his being discharged on Friday.
