Bournemouth are reportedly interested in signing Fran Garcia from Real Madrid, according to a recent report by Jorge Picon (via Madrid Xtra).

This comes after a period of uncertainty surrounding the left-back when rumours suggested he might be sold.

However, Garcia has managed to prove his worth and has even surpassed Ferland Mendy, who has been a regular starter for years under Carlo Ancelotti.

Although Garcia did not have his best performance at San Mames, his overall form has caught the attention of various clubs, especially those in the Premier League looking for a reliable left-back.

Bournemouth are interested

Bournemouth are one of the clubs most interested in acquiring Garcia. The Premier League side is reportedly planning to make a move for him in the summer transfer window.

The club’s manager, Andoni Iraola, has a previous connection with Garcia from their time together at Rayo Vallecano and is keen to bring him to England to continue their successful partnership.

For Bournemouth to secure Garcia, they first need to sell their current starting left-back, Milos Kerkez.

The defender is attracting attention from several Premier League clubs, with a potential move in 2025, including a possible interest from Real Madrid.

If Kerkez does leave, it would open the door for Garcia to make the move to Bournemouth, as the club looks to strengthen its squad.

Garcia is happy at Real Madrid

However, any potential move for Garcia would not be straightforward or cheap. The 24-year-old is reportedly content at Real Madrid, and the club values him highly.

Madrid are unlikely to let go of a player who has become an important part of their team, especially given his recent performances. As a result, any club, including Bournemouth, would have to meet a significant asking price to secure his services.

While a move is not guaranteed, the interest from Premier League clubs and the potential departure of Kerkez suggests that Garcia’s future at Real Madrid may face some competition.

For now, Garcia remains a key figure at the club, and it will take a strong offer to persuade Madrid to part with him.
