📸 Should Bournemouth have been down to 10 men against Chelsea?
Chelsea fans have been left incensed after David Brooks escaped a red card at Stamford Bridge despite referee Rob Jones being sent to the pitch side monitor.
Currently locked level with Bournemouth at 1-1, Chelsea looked to counter attack only for Cucurella to be dragged back by his hair.
After a VAR review though, a yellow card was deemed sufficient.

To make it more impressive, it was a Premier League first...
This is the first time in the Premier League that a referee has rejected a red-card review at the monitor. And so the first a red-card review has resulted in a yellow card.
Once at the monitor, the ref has full control.
It's the first monitor rejection of any kind this season. https://t.co/j5YQTHPCCj— Dale Johnson (@DaleJohnsonESPN) January 14, 2025
