Boston Eagles' Teddy Stiga Named Rookie Of The Week

Boston College freshman forward Teddy Stiga has been named Hockey East Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Through three games over the course of last week, Stiga put up two goals and three assists,. In the first game against Harvard, Stiga scored on the powerplay. Following that up with their two-game series against Providence, Stiga put up an assist on Friday and one goal and two assists on Saturday.

Drafted by the Nashville Predators in the second round of the 2024 NHL Draft, Stiga has been enjoying a successful freshman season with the Eagles, accumulating seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 21 games.

Before making the jump, Stiga played for the U.S. NTDP, putting up 36 goals and 79 points in 61 games with their U18 team in 2023-24.

With Stiga getting this recognition, it shows how well he has adapted to the NCAA level in a short amount of time. With the Predators management monitoring him closely, Stiga will continue to be a big part of Boston College until he makes the jump to the pro game.
