Boston College Names 2024-25 Leadership Group

Boston College have named their leadership group for the 2024-25 season, the team announced Monday.

Eamon Powell will lead the team, serving as team captain, while Connor Joyce, Mike Posma and Ryan Leonard will assume alternate captain roles.

Drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fourth round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Powell also served as captain of the Eagles last season. Entering what will be his fifth season with the team, Powell scored five goals and added 33 assists for 38 points in 40 games in 2023-24.

A product of Dedham, Mass., Joyce is entering his senior season with the Eagles. In 35 games last season, he collected two goals and four assists for six points.

Also entering his senior season for the Eagles, Posma collected two goals and eight points in 41 games last year. Over the course of his NCAA career, he has put up 27 points.

Rounding out the group is Washington Capitals 2023 first-round pick Ryan Leonard. Forming a third of one of the best lines in college hockey last season, Leonard scored 31 goals and added 29 assists for 60 points in 41 games during his freshman season.
