Boston Bruins Look to Stay Hot in Defensive Showdown against Winnipeg Jets

Tuesday has a loaded slate of NHL action that still should excite all hockey fans with some sensational matchups like the Maple Leafs traveling to the Garden State to take on the Devils or the new look Bruins taking on the stumbling Jets. It should be a great night of games and we look to improve on some of our recent hot streaks like our 30-19 record on game total and team unders this season.

Bet: Bruins Jets Under 5.5 goals (-115)

The Jets struggled when enduring a lengthy road trip that effectively killed a sizeable amount of their momentum built up from their hot start to the season. They've now dropped six of their last nine games as their offence has evaporated with just 19 goals scored, which is tied for third-worst in the league during that span.

Boston on the other hand, have turned things around under new bench boss Joe Sacco with wins in four of their last five games and will look to improve on their 7-1-0 record against Winnipeg in their last eight matchups.

The different directions of each team have created a very close line but one thing we can count on in this game is almost no scoring. The Bruins have rebuilt their defence after placing fifth-worst in goals against average at 3.45 through their first 20 games and have since lowered their average to 2.30 over the last ten games.

This is second-best in the league during this stretch and could result in a long night for a Jets team that has struggled when it comes to starting games aggressively.

If the opposite works out and Winnipeg rediscovers their game, they have a 2.50 goals against average at home this season with only five of their 12 home games totalling over five goals. Either way, one team will bring their best on the defensive end and should result in a low-scoring game.
