Boston Bruins Finally Sign Veteran Forward

The Boston Bruins have signed forward Tyler Johnson to a one-year, $775,000 contract.

Johnson, 34, joined the Bruins on a professional tryout (PTO) for training camp and stuck around with the team following it, even without a deal. However, he now officially has a contract for the season, so he can get into game action.

The Bruins undoubtedly need more scoring, so bringing in Johnson on this cheap one-year deal makes sense. The veteran forward appeared in 67 games last season with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he had 17 goals and 31 points.
