Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham: Champions League prediction, team news, line-ups, start time, live, TV, head to head, odds

Tottenham travel to Borussia Dortmund knowing they will secure top spot in Champions League Group H if they match Real Madrid's result on Tuesday.

A deserved 3-1 win against the holders on November 1 puts Spurs in the driving seat, but they come into the game off the back of a demoralising 2-0 loss at rivals Arsenal.

Dortmund must win to keep their faint hopes of a place in the knockout stages alive, qualification Spurs are already assured of, but have just one competitive victory - against third-tier Magdeburg in the cup - since September.

Team news

Borussia Dortmund could welcome Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back from the cold after his suspension for "disciplinary reasons" for Friday's loss to Stuttgart.

However, Sokratis Papastathopoulos is almost certain to miss Tuesday's game after the defender was forced off at half-time with a rib injury.

Christian Pulisic missed the defeat entirely after succumbing to muscular problems ahead of kick-off, though it remains to be seen if he has joined Liszczek Piszczek, Marco Reus, Sebastian Rode and Erik Durm on the sidelines.

Mauricio Pochettino insisted after the north London derby loss that Harry Kane and Dele Alli were not struggling with fitness problems during the game despite being substituted off.

Erik Lamela enjoyed a run out for the U23s, lasting an hour, as his long road to recovery continues. Danny Rose could feature after missing out on the derby squad entirely.

Toby Alderweireld is not expected back before Christmas and Victor Wanyama remains out as Tottenham's only first-team fitness concerns.

Predicted line-ups

Borussia Dortmund starting XI: Burki; Toljan, Zagadou, Bartra, Schmelzer; Gotze, Weigl, Kagawa; Pulisic, Aubameyang, Philipp

Tottenham starting XI: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Vertonghen; Aurier, Dembele, Winks, Rose; Alli, Eriksen; Kane

Head to head

Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham have met just three times before, twice in the Europa League two seasons ago - which BVB won on both - and then earlier this season when Harry Kane and Heung-min Son completed a deserved 3-1 victory.
