Bomb-sniffing dog drops puck at Ducks' 'Salute to Service' (Video)
Every year, the Anaheim Ducks hold ‘Military Appreciation Night,’ and every year, they find a way to drop the puck in a unique way.
Last year, Wall-E’s bomb detonating cousin rolled on to center ice, extended its arm and dropped the puck from a claw.
This year’s ‘Salute to Service’ got a whole lot more ADORABLE.
Corporal Nero is bomb sniffing dog with the United States Special Forces. He was escorted on to the ice by his human, Lance Corporal Brandon C. Benningfield, and Ducks owners, Henry and Susan Samueli.
After a perfect puck drop, Ryan Getzlaf gave the Corporal exactly what he seemed to want the entire time – a big, old scratch on the top of the head and ears.
Bask in the unrequited joy of a dog with an incredibly dangerous job.
