Bologna are reportedly looking to bolster their wing department before the end of the month, and have now set their sights on Loum Tchaouna.

The Background

The 21-year-old signed for Lazio in the summer following a breakthrough campaign in Salerno where he was one of the few bright spots of an otherwise catastrophic campaign for Salernitana. However, the youngster has yet to carve himself a starting role in Marco Baroni’s lineup, as Gustav Isaksen remains the first choice on the right side.

ِA Secondary Role

The Frenchman had his moments this season, including a formidable outing against Ajax in the Europa League, but has only scored two goals and one assist in 23 appearances across all competitions, with the majority of his outings coming off the bench.

So according to Italian journalist Damiano Er Faina, Bologna have enquired about Tchaouna as they’re looking to add one more winger to Vincenzo Italiano’s squad. TuttoMecatoWeb also reports the Emilians’ interest in the France U21 starlet, explaining how he could be the right profile to replace Riccardo Orsolini who is out of action for a month or so.

Moreover, Er Faina adds that Bologna had also proposed a swap deal, offering Giovanni Fabbian’s services in exchange for Tchouna. However, Lazio weren’t keen on the idea, as they prefer to focus on Cesare Casadei who remains their priority target in January.
