Boise State basketball to have 15 nationally televised games this season, with 2 on CBS

Boise State basketball’s conference schedule was released on Thursday. The Broncos will play 13 Mountain West games on national television and two nationally televised nonconference games in Boise.

The Broncos will play a balanced 20-game conference schedule, meaning a home-and-home series with every other Mountain West team.

Two of the 15 nationally televised games will air on CBS, with six on CBS Sports Network and others on Fox Sports.

Boise State, which has made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, opens the season hosting Oakland, and the first three games have yet to be assigned a tipoff time or network. All games awaiting final TV selections also don’t have a tipoff time yet.

The Broncos’ first nationally televised game will be their home contest against ACC foe Clemson on Sunday, Nov. 17. The Tigers defeated Boise State 85-68 last season in South Carolina, and they also went on to make the NCAA tourney. This year’s game will tip off at 11:30 a.m. and air on CBS Sports Network.

The Clemson game will be followed by three games at the 2024 Cayman Islands Classic the week of Thanksgiving. Boise State will kick off the tournament on Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. against Hampton and play further games on Nov. 25-26.

Boise State returns home to face Utah Tech on Dec. 3 before playing Washington State on Dec. 7 at Idaho Central Arena. The game against the Cougars, who won 25 games last season and made the NCAA Tournament — and beat the Broncos 66-61 in a game played in Spokane last December — will be nationally televised on CBS and tip off at 2 p.m.

The Broncos, who finished 22-11 last season, kick off their conference slate at home on Dec. 21 against Air Force, but the first nationally televised game will be the Jan. 4 home game against perennial Mountain West power San Diego State, which also will air on CBS.
