Alright, boeing shares under pressure today after the cfo, I should say, predicted that it would continue to burn through cash is that is having issues with certifying its planes in china. It's also delaying production overall. Nicholas owens's industrials, equity analyst at joins us now. Nicholas, obviously the market was surprised by this update. But for you, it been following this story. Is it really that surprising some of the headwinds that they continue to face with their jets. >> I would say not ultimately, totally surprising. It really is spacing out where where in the year the single happen. I think the big news actually for the quarter is when these planes can be delivered to china. So they have planes that are ready to go. And once can step ah, that's great for for their cash, that's been delayed that more we have about a quarter worth of planes sitting on the lot ready to go to china for perspective. And let's talk about that delay in certification by china. How long do you think it could drag out >> No no idea. And I found I found a lot of the executives, you know, the companies that I cover have have stopped. >> Guessing when regulators will do what they're going to do and they don't want to paying anyone into a corner. >> And yet against that backdrop, you have a buy on the stock, take us through your think. Okay. >> Some eye for value. 221 $1 a share and come down since january and has been fairly stable. I'm really the powerhouses, the 7.37, I do think even though it's disappointing how long it's taking them, they are going to, put things in order and due to manufacturing process correctly, so that they can deliver properly and then increased rate at which they do that that's going to take them into 25 26, which they were sort of thing already a year it's just a everything's on a lot tighter scrutiny now as is appropriate long term demand for these planes is there their ability to make my own thing is entirely in question that their belly today to, properly sequencer, manufacturing and pace all the items to to keep pace. And

that today's news doesn't change my value at all. >> Now that's interesting. You say, you know, they, they've got to do the manufacturing process properly. I hear you know, anybody who's bearish on the stock what that really means is expenses go up, margins go down and this is not a one quarter issue. This is we're talking about a fundamental altering the cost to boeing to make these jets. >> I would take, I would, I would debate that. The cost to build the plane. A lot of that material that doesn't the part that there that there experiencing trouble with that they're fixing as the order in which they do things. And and the sequencing of when things arrive at the factory setting, they really got into trouble way back in 2018, when spirit trouble ramping up the pace at which they can build that huge loss for the 7.37. And boeing said send them to us anyway. And so they started getting incomplete. Were rushed fuselages and they allowed people to keep working on that response while they're in the boeing factory, where they're supposed to be. Clean and ready to go to get the wings else bolted on. My point is that the cost overrun is of having people take more time, wait around and waiting for the parts are waiting for for at in fact, right now they're running essentially to 7.37 assembly lines so they talk once they get anomalies squared away, can have a much more time iran and a fish and timeline, which should be a boost to margin. >> I wonder, too, you know, it's part of your experience in making jets is not always just a a straight line business. You also cover bombardier, which we for very long period of time has had his ups more often than not has had its downs right now. It's in a bit of an upswing. You've got a bye on bombardier. What's driving your view on bombardier these days? >> Yeah, it's a great story. And I the stock popped. I want to say yesterday and the other other analysts upgrading their rating. So picked up a few months ago and you know, it's we joked in one of our headlines, it's not your uncles bombardier, you know, all they business jet now. And it's interesting business. They specialize in what we call the large long-range portion of the business jet market and their main competitors are gulfstream. So. And they have a really great product their planes coming to market now the by a private jet on the market, I believe and the longest, my longest range. And that's that's what appeals bound to the buyers of these types of planes. And so even without a huge growth in the we see them be able to return a profit and they've also down announced they want to be active in the servicing of the planes, which is very possible. I'm mad cow last, I would say lost touch with portion of the business. Previously so it's a great story. Telling, you know, a bit of a turnaround, you could say again, I think will benefit from the focus you know, challenge for them will be keeping the finances under control. I know they're replanting wanted that now a lower which is nice for them. I'm just being able to reinvest in the business you know, improved their their margin design meant next plane in a few years you know, when I think of morningstar and your approach to. >> Stocks more often than not. I hear about value and valuation and and looking for value. And with that in mind, you also cover or air canada, one of you know, canadian airlines here. Everybody comes likes to stock says it's of ally stock here, the only analyst with the south. Why. The fundamental reason why is the there's not airlines have yet to prove to me as a business air canada is no exception. Dover, a speical they can return profits to shareholders. >> So they're doing well. Now most of them are north america because there's incredible demand prices are through the roof or for tickets right on what a similar capacity to 2019 their booking way, more revenue and profit. And that's great but will that persistence really my and so if you, if you, if you, if you extrapolate from the president and assume it will be like for 5.10, years.
