St. Louis Blues forward Ivan Barbashev has been suspended for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final after delivering an illegal check to the head of Boston’s Marcus Johansson during Thursday’s Game 5 victory.

The incident occurred early in the first period when Barbashev’s shoulder connected with Johansson’s head after the Bruins forward fired a shot on net. The NHL’s Department of Player Safety deemed the contact avoidable, hence the one-game suspension.

You can find their full ruling on the situation here.

This is the second St. Louis suspension of the series, with center Oskar Sundqvist missing Game 3 after boarding Matt Grzelcyk in Game 2. Grzelcyk has not played since.
