Blue Jackets Weekly Injury Report: Week 9
The week 9 injury report hasn't changed since week 8. The Columbus Blue Jackets played four games in the past week and went 1-3. They only had one injury scare with defenseman Ivan Provorov.
The thought was that he had broken his thumb. However, it was actually dislocated, and Provorov popped it back into place and played last night against the Winnipeg Jets.
Now on to the week 8 injury report.
Blue Jackets Injury Report:
Boone Jenner (shoulder) is on Injured Reserve on Oct. 7; (26 Games)
Erik Gudbranson (upper body) is on Injured Reserve on Oct. 16; (23 Games)
Yegor Chinakhov (upper body); (5 Games)
***Cole Sillinger was injured against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday. There is no word on his condition. It looked to be an ankle injury from blocking a shot.
TOTAL MAN GAMES LOST: 99
As my colleague Jason Newland mentioned last week in the week 8 injury report. Captain Boone Jenner and Erik Gudbranson aren't coming back anytime soon. As for Yegor Chinakhov's injury, the hope is that he can return quickly and not miss a ton more games.
Columbus currently sits last in the Metro with 27 points but is only one point back of sixth place and two points back of fourth place.
What's Next - The Blue Jackets return home to play the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.
