Blue Jackets Sign Jake Christiansen To A Two-Year Contract Extension
The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced today that they have signed defenseman Jake Christiansen to a two-year contract extension. The contract will be worth $1.95 million, or $975,000 AAV.

Christiansen has played in all 45 games for Columbus this season. He has scored 1 goal and totaled 7 points and is a plus-4 while averaging 13:07 TOI.
Per a press release, “Jake is a mobile, puck-moving defenseman who continues to improve and become a consistent contributor on our blueline this season,” said Waddell. “His high character fits in well in our dressing room and we are excited about his future with our club.”
Christiansen is also the Cleveland Monsters leading scorer all-time among defenseman, and third-leading scorer among all skaters, all-time.
Jake Christiansen has played well this season and this contract is well deserved.
