Blue Jackets Prospect Traded Ahead Of OHL Trade Deadline
As the OHL trade deadline approaches, another Columbus Blue Jackets prospect has been traded.
The Kingston #Frontenacs acquire Charlie Schenkel from the Soo #Greyhounds in exchange for #CBJ prospect Nolan Lalonde, Soo 3rd (‘26), Brampton 5th (‘25), and a 6th (‘28)

Goaltender Nolan Lalonde, along with draft picks, has been acquired by the Soo Greyhounds. In return, the Kingston Frontenacs will receive goaltender Charlie Schenkel.
Lalonde, 20, has spent his OHL career with three teams, and the Greyhounds will be his fourth.

He has previously played for the Erie Otters, Saginaw Spirit, and his hometown Kingston Frontenacs.
Lalonde signed with the Blue Jackets in October 2022. He now joins the Greyhounds, who currently sit in eighth place in the Western Conference and will rely on him to help secure a playoff spot.
What's Next - The Jackets are back home on Thursday to welcome in the Seattle Kraken.
