Blue Jackets Goalie Prospect Nolan Lalonde Scores A Goalie Goal On Friday Night

Nolan Lalonde, the 20-year-old goalie from Kingston, Ontario, and the Blue Jackets prospect pulled off something that Columbus fans have always wanted: A goalie goal.

The reigning OHL Goaltender of the week scored a goal last night and led his Greyhounds to a 5-3 win over the Flint Firebirds. It was the 12th goalie goal in OHL history.

Check it out below.

Columbus fans have never seen a goalie goal scored by one of its goaltenders, but any time you have Elvis Merzļikins on your team, there's a chance. He did take a crack at one earlier this year and whiffed on it, but the fans could feel it coming.

Congrats to Nolan Lalonde on the rare feat.

What's Next - The Blue Jackets return home on Saturday to play the waiting LA Kings.
