Fabbro had played 315 games for the Nashville Predators over the last seven seasons, scoring 16 goals and totaling 72 points.
“Dante Fabbro is a puck-moving defenseman that can play in all situations and adds mobility and depth to our backend,” says GM Don Waddell.
Adding Fabbro to the CBJ blue line is interesting, as they are already scratching a defenseman every game. Jordan Harris and David Jiříček have been the routine scratches. Might The Jackets be sending Harris or Jiříček to Cleveland?
The Jackets also put forward Kent Johnson on IR today, freeing up a roster spot for Fabbro.
What's Next - The Blue Jackets travel 30 miles southeast to Anaheim to play the Ducks tonight.
