Yahoo Sports Blake Lively Was ‘Starstruck’ By Gigi Hadid At New York Fashion Week
Blake Lively recently revealed that she slipped away from home life to attend New York Fashion Week, seeking a bit of glamour and fun for a night without her husband and kids.
While at Michael Kors' autumn/winter runway show, the 34-year-old mother-of-three explained to E! News: 'I could put my kids to bed and then secretly sneak out and go have a whole alternative life', and she gushed about being excited to have attended Kors' 'first night show ever'.
Sitting front row, she watched fellow mums Irina Shayk, Emily Ratajkowski and Gigi Hadid strut down the runway, but it was the last on the list who blew her away.
Showing her admiration for Hadid, Lively shared a photo of her on the runway via her Instagram story. The image shows Hadid donning a smouldering, leg-baring gown as she grins in the direction of the camera.
Lively accompanied the photo with a message that reads: 'Find you someone who looks at you like @gigihadid looks at me while walking down the catwalk. I. Am. Starstruck. Shook. To. My. Core [sic].' She also hilariously added a gif of a baby crying to accompany the post, emphasising her excitement at seeing the Versace campaign star.
The actor looked dazzling herself, dressed in a baby blue custom sequinned skirt and crop top from Kors' SS22 collection, which she heightened with vertiginous Christian Louboutin heels. 'I like not wearing pyjamas. Anything is a level up from that,' she said of her look when speaking to the same news outlet on the day.
As well as fashion, Lively and Hadid have bonded over motherhood, too.
When speaking to Vogue earlier this month, Hadid opened up about who she turned to for parenting advice while pregnant with one-year-old daughter Khai, who she shares with her former partner, ex-One Direction band member Zayn Malik.
She spoke about calling on actor friend Lively for her words of wisdom about balancing motherhood with public life, as she said she's watched Lively and Reynolds' three daughters (James, seven, Inez, five and Betty, two) 'really blossom in a different way'.
Lively and Reynolds are known for protecting the privacy of their kids.
Returning the sweet sentiment, Lively also spoke to the same publication about Hadid, saying: 'I told her you have to do what works for you.
'Gigi has a really special relationship with her fans, and I love how open she is on social media. I love seeing into her world...I’m grateful for what she shares but also understand whatever boundaries she chooses to set.'
Lively and Hadid have had other fashion-related exchanges in the past.
The pair were formerly seen hanging out in New York City while at the Versace Pre-Fall 2019 runway show.
And back in 2018, Hadid gushed about the star after seeing a photo of her in a neon green Versace suit. Commenting on her power look, Hadid wrote: 'My president.'
Let's not forget the time A Simple Favor star Lively hilariously trolled husband Reynolds at the sake of Hadid.
In honour of the mum-of-one's 26th birthday, Lively shared a photo to her Instagram story (which you can see here) of her posing with Hadid and Reynolds, and she wrote: 'I think you and I make a much better couple.'
