Blackpool sign Shrewsbury midfielder Bloxham
Blackpool have signed Shrewsbury midfielder Tom Bloxham for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The 21-year-old scored eight goals in 106 league appearances for the Shropshire side.
The Seasiders have the option to extend Bloxham's contract by an additional 12 months.
He could make his debut for Steve Bruce's side against promotion-chasing Huddersfield on Saturday.
"I'm buzzing to be here. Having been around the stadium today and seeing just how big a club this is," Bloxham told the Blackpool website.
"Once I found out that the club was interested it was a simple decision for me given the history here.
"I remember watching Blackpool in the Premier League when I was a kid not so long ago, so to be here now is a great feeling.
"Obviously, I'm really looking forward to working with the gaffer after the career he had as a player and now as a manager. I can't wait to get started."
Shrewsbury boss Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Radio Shropshire earlier on Tuesday he would be "surprised" of other clubs were not interested in signing Bloxham.
