Blackhawks' Alex DeBrincat scores diving goal vs. Canucks

Just like Chumbawamba said, “I get knocked down, but I get up again.” And sometimes getting back up results in a goal.

In a game against the Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks forward Alex DeBrincat was driven to the ice by opposing defenceman Quinn Hughes.

On his way to the ice, DeBrincat was able to send the puck past goaltender Jacob Markstrom with an absolute snipe.

Both Hughes and teammate Chris Tanev were pressuring DeBrincat hard as soon as he entered the offensive zone, presenting what should have been a strong defensive play.

But a goalscorer scores goals in any way possible, and the 21-year-old was able to net a beautiful one.

Not only was it scored mid-descent, but DeBrincat was able to pick the top corner, right over Markstrom’s shoulder, and place the shot perfectly. It’s just one of those plays where everything falls perfectly into order.

This is his fifth goal of the season and 10th point through 15 games played.
