Blackburn Rovers have signed defender Dion Sanderson on loan from Birmingham City until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has worked with Rovers boss John Eustace before, at both Birmingham and QPR.

Sanderson began his career at Wolves before subsequent spells at Cardiff City and Sunderland.

The centre-half, who has only made two League One appearances this season, is not eligible for Blackburn's FA Cup tie at Middlesbrough on Saturday, having already played for Birmingham in their second round win at Blackpool last month.
