Birmingham agree summer move for defender Neumann

Birmingham City have agreed a deal to sign German defender Phil Neumann in the summer.

The 27-year-old has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join the Blues from Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96 in July.

A German Under-20 international, Neumann started his career with Schalke before leaving in 2017 to spend two seasons with FC Ingolstdat. He joined Holstein Kiel in 2019, making 79 appearances over three seasons.

He signed for Hannover in July 2022 and will hope to arrive in Birmingham to play Championship football next season with Blues currently two points clear at the top of League One.
