Bill Murray, President Obama putt in the Oval Office and talk Obamacare

When Bill Murray does anything in golf or that is tangential to golf, we’re required here to tell you about it.

The comedy legend and golf mascot took a trip to the White House to spend some time with outgoing President Barack Obama, hitting some putts in the Oval Office. Turns out, Murray has a sweet stroke, making putt after putt with a hickory-shafted putter into one of those fancy White House glasses.

After Obama misses a few, the two — one an actor, one not — riff into a totally natural conversation about Murray’s bothersome knee. Obama then tells Murray that he can sign up for health care through the Affordable Care Act (colloquially Obamacare) insurance exchange in the enrollment period that ends Dec. 15.

It’s a little bit of a stretch for both guys to get to the point, but you get the idea. Then again, if you’re going to ask President Obama and Bill Murray to do some acting, it may as well be a skit based something they each love doing, which is golf.
