‘Better than you’ – Cristiano Ronaldo’s son believes Mbappe superior than Real Madrid legend

After a rocky start, Kylian Mbappe has started 2025 on a strong note, scoring in all of Real Madrid’s matches so far.

In fact, Mbappe’s tally of 22 goals so far this season means he is on track to beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s first season tally at Santiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe, though, is a huge admirer of Ronaldo and considers the Portuguese international as his prime role model. Both the players, in fact, have immense respect for each other.

Ronaldo makes admission about Mbappe

To that end, Ronaldo, in a recent interaction, has made an admission about what one of his sons think of Mbappe.

The Al Nassr superstar revealed that his son, Matteo, is a huge fan of Mbappe and even considers him a better player than his father.

“My son Mateo loves Mbappe. He tells me that Mbappe is better than you. I tell him that your father was better, he has more goals,” Ronaldo told La Sexta.

Belonging to the modern generation, many can understand Mateo’s view on Mbappe and why he considers him a better player than Ronaldo.

But the Frenchman has a long way to go before he can reach the same legendary status that Ronaldo enjoys at Real Madrid.

Even in the current season, Mbappe’s final numbers might be significantly better than what Ronaldo achieved in his first season at the club.

But the Portuguese international’s overall contribution and importance to the Real Madrid frontline will always remain more significant compared to Mbappe.
