The Best Memes To Sum Up The Perplexing Nature Of The US Presidential Election
It's been three days since American people headed to the polls (or cast postal votes!) to elect the 46th president of the US.
And yet, we still don't have a president.
Like everything else in 2020, the election is turning out to be 'unprecedented'. Both Joe Biden and Donald Trump have proclaimed their belief of victory, the former - without providing evidence - has made claims of voter fraud and some states (key states) have still not finished adding up their votes.
The length of time it's taken to count the votes of this election is due to a number of factors, including the Coronavirus pandemic, meaning more people were inclined to vote by mail-in (postal) voting. As the US is such a large country, states can also choose how they count the votes. For example, Pennsylvania decided not to count mail-in votes until after they had counted all of the in-person votes, and Nevada took a bit of a break on Wednesday, resuming their count on Thursday.
So what do people do during uncertain times? Well as the Covid-19 pandemic has proven, they head to the internet and create, share and laugh at memes.
Here are some of the most hysterical:

It just occurred to me that this election is following the plot of The Notebook:
- A white house
- Mail that wasn’t received
- A lot of fighting
- It wasn’t over

Hey newspapers, don't all go with 'YOU'RE FIRED'. Plenty of other options:
• P45 for P.45
• The Lying King
• Unpresidented
• Lord of the Lies
• Donald Dumped
• Down in the Trumps
• Game over, combover
• POTUS Out Of Our Misery
